The main items that the company will need is the management system name, and the download path. The companies will provide support for their applications and will help you facilitate the setup. These are compatible with Agency Systems. Some examples are Progressive, Erie, Mercury, State Auto, and Auto-Owners. There are a handful of companies that provide their own applications to download your files. Agency Systems Support will complete this install and configuration for your office. This facilitates the download of the files from the company to your office. IVANS Transfer Manager is a program that will sit on your master machine. When you initiate download with future carriers, you will provide them with the Y-Account number and User ID of your IVANS account. Record this information and keep it handy for other carriers. Once the account is set up, the carrier will provide you with an IVANS Y-Account number and User ID. If you do not yet have an account set up, the carrier will set one up for you. When you request to initiate download with a carrier that does not have their own software system, the company will ask if you have an IVANS account. This is the primary method for companies to deliver download files to your agency. IVANS is a third-party company that manages the electronic connection between insurance agencies and the carriers from whom they download policy information.
